The Summer Olympics represent the pinnacle of amateur boxing.

Boxers like Muhammad Ali, Claressa Shields, and George Foreman all represented the United States at the world stage before they stood atop the boxing world.

Now, competing at the Olympic trials in Lafayette, Louisiana, 20-year-old Trinity Burke has the chance to join that elite company.

Burke started boxing at Helman’s Gym in Punxsutawney at sixteen.

In just four years, she's become the number three ranked boxer in her weight class and is a couple wins away from representing Team USA in Paris.

Burke says she wants her opponents to bring their all.

Burke's coach said that coming out on top doesn't necessarily guarantee Olympian status as the coaches will pick which boxers they feel they can work best with.
