FREMONT, Ohio (WKRC) - An Ohio postal worker was reportedly caught passing a Ford Mustang at 105 mph during a race.
According to newly-released police body-cam footage obtained by WTVG, an officer pulled over a marked USPS van, which was allegedly going over 100 miles per hour.
"Is there a reason you're going over 100?" the officer is heard asking the pulled over USPS driver.
"I didn't realize I was going that fast," the driver responds.
"Yeah, I mean that Mustang took off. He caught my attention, and then you blew by him, and I was pacing you at like 105," the officer explains. "What was the reason? Why'd you take off like that?"
When asked if she knew the driver of the Mustang, the USPS driver said she did not.
"I kind of assumed when the way they took off at the light there, because I was right across from you," the officer is heard telling the USPS driver. "When I saw him take off, I go, 'You have my attention.' And then you went by. I'm like, 'Oh, you gotta be kidding.'"
The officer goes on to explain that the driver of the Mustang slowed down, but she continued to speed.
According to WTVG, the USPS driver paid a $50 fine for a traffic violation and received a verbal warning for racing.
