State police said that, when responders arrived on scene, a 21-year-old female driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The press release states that three other people involved in the crash were transported to Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center to be evaluated for their injuries.

According to state police, a total of four passenger vehicles and two commercial vehicles were involved in the accident.

The press release states that the southbound lanes on I-83 at Exit 40A were shut down while police investigated.
