LIGONIER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — One man drowned when his car rolled over into a creek in Ligonier Township Sunday, Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said. Lees said 28-year-old Benjamin Leshow was traveling south on Route 271 just before 7 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove into some yards, taking out multiple utility poles before rolling over into a creek. Leshow was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle, Lees said.

Reynoldsville, PA — According to Adminstrative Director Barry Fillman, Jefferson County Vocational Technical School has three return to school plans for the fall. He said they'll either be a red, green or yellow phase reopening. In the green phase, students will attend in person classes everyday. Under the yellow phase students will attend in person classes every other day and in the red phase, all instruction will be given online.

(AP) — A Michigan dairy worker has been diagnosed with bird flu — the second human case associated with an outbreak in U.S. dairy cows. The male worker had been in contact with cows at a farm with infected animals. He experienced mild eye symptoms and has recovered, U.S. and Michigan health officials said in announcing the case Wednesday. A nasal swab from the person tested negative for the virus, but an eye swab tested Tuesday was positive for bird flu, "

University Park, PA (WJAC) — An architect and construction manager have been named for the long-awaited renovation project at Penn State's Beaver Stadium. One of the people involved in the new design phase is Scott Radecic, a former Penn State linebacker. Radecic's company, “Populus,” has done stadium design work worldwide. Three other companies will spearhead the actual renovation construction at the stadium, which is expected to get underway at the end of the 2024 football season.
