CENTRE HALL/CENTRE COUNTY, Pa — The Remington Ryde Bluegrass Festival rolled on in Centre Hall this evening. The Bluegrass Festival returned with a lot of energy surrounding it after skipping a year on account of the coronavirus.
Promoter Ryan Frankhouser says the weekend has been a smash hit.
“We are so excited to be back at the Remington Ryde Bluegrass Festival, bringing it back here to Grange Park in Centre Hall," he said. "It’s been a fantastic weekend, I mean, great music, great fellowship and...the crowds have been great, it looks like people have been ready to get out, so it’s just been overwhelming, just a wonderful weekend.”
Bluegrass fans from all across the region come here for this unique experience.
“This is a special place, it’s a special festival, it’s a special event and I believe that so many things and so many memories have happened here throughout the years and people were just itching to get back,” Frankhouser said.
He says the crowd tells you everything you need to know about the festival’s success.
“You can tell by the energy this weekend that they just couldn’t wait," he said with a smile. "There’s something special about when you get into grange park here to the Bluegrass Festival that until you’re here and experience it, you don’t know but I know they were ready.”
The festival will conclude on Sunday.
