WASHINGTON (TND) — The youngest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore recently shared her autism diagnosis with the public for the first time.
Tallulah Willis, 30, shared a throwback video on Instagram of her as a young child with her father on the red carpet. She is seen playing with her father's ear as he speaks to reporters.
"Tell me your [sic] autistic without telling me your autistic," she wrote on the post.
In the comments, Tallulah addressed being diagnosed late in life.
"Actually this is the first time I’ve ever publicly shared my diagnosis," she wrote. "Found out this summer and it’s changed my life."
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is defined by the National Institute of Mental Health as a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave.
Tallulah has been open about her struggles in the past, sharing in a May 2023 essay for Vogue that she had "suffered from anorexia nervosa," depression, addiction and ADHD.
Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in February 2023. He retired from acting in March 2022 when he was also diagnosed with aphasia.
FTD is a medical condition that can affect a person's ability to speak, write and understand language, both verbal and written, according to the Mayo Clinic.
