
FALLSTON, Md. (WBFF) — A woman died after she was trapped under a lawn mower in a drainage ravine, according to the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company (FVFAC).
FVFAC and Harford County Department of Emergency Services EMS Division were dispatched shortly before 5:15 p.m. for a lawn mower accident with traumatic injury.
The incident took place in the 2300 block of Willow Vale Dr. in Fallston.
As personnel responded they were told that the patient was no longer conscious or breathing, according to FVFAC.
The early activation of the Maryland State Police Aviation Command was initiated based on this information.

Around 5:15 p.m., Chief McKinney (CH13) arrived on the scene and found the scene at the rear of a single-family home in a drainage ravine.
CH13 confirmed an adult woman had been trapped for an unknown amount of time under a commercial lawn mover and was in cardiac arrest.
People on the scene had initiated CPR before the arrival of emergency personnel, FVFAC said.

Additional resources arrived and quickly extricated the woman from a 7.5 ft. drainage ravine, and advanced life support was initiated.
Despite life-saving efforts, the woman was pronounced dead just before 5:40 p.m.
The cause of the incident is under investigation and the scene was turned over to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, MOSH, and the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
